About

Hi there!

My name is Miyo Macario, and I’m a freshman at UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles) majoring in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics.

I dedicate my studies to strengthening public health systems and improving outcomes for vulnerable populations around the world.

Over the years, I have discovered that my deepest motivations come from three places: learning, advocacy, and creative expression. These threads come together through my work as the founder of Shared With Care, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports underserved global communities through school supply drives, tutoring services, and efforts to expand access to STEM education.

I also serve as a Save the Children Student Ambassador, where I have advocated for Farm Bill protections and led campaigns around child nutrition. These are experiences that have shaped my belief in equitable opportunities for all children, regardless of circumstance.

Thank you for taking the time to learn a bit about me and my passions. I look forward to sharing more about my academic and extracurricular projects with you.
